Accessing the Apple Software Updates on T.Apple

  1. Open Fetch and if necessary, go to the 'File' menu and select 'New Connection...'
  2. In the 'Host' box type ftp.tapple.org
    In the 'User ID' box type your account name
    In the 'Password' box type your password
    In the 'Directory' box type '/home/ftp/pub/'
  3. Click on OK to connect. A window should appear with pub at the top and folders listed. One of these folders will be named 'Apple_SW_Updates'. Double-click on it.
  4. Keep double-clicking on folders until you find the updates you are interested in.

A few common problems are:

  1. You didn't put your account name, password, and directory into Fetch properly.
