Setting up Eudora to use
multiple email accounts

  1. Obtain Eudora and set it up for one of your email accounts.
  2. Quit Eudora.
  3. Open your Eudora Folder which is located inside your System Folder.
  4. Move the Eudora Settings file and the Eudora Settings.bkup file to the desktop.
  5. Rename the Eudora Settings file and the .bkup file to another name that makes sense to you (Eudora Supernet and Eudora Supernet.bkup for example).
  6. Run Eudora again and set it up for a different email account. Eudora will make another Eudora Settings file to hold the new information.
If you need help setting up Eudora to use your T.Apple account, see our page on setting up Eudora with tapple as your primary (only) email account.
  7. Quit Eudora.
  8. Move your old, renamed settings files back into your Eudora Folder (in the System Folder) and make an alias to both the new settings file and the old settings file.
  9. Move the aliases into your Apple Menu Items folder. You may rename the aliases if you want.
  10. Launch Eudora by selecting one of the aliases files from the Apple Menu. After reading mail from one account, you can select the other alias file to load your other account information without restarting Eudora.

If Eudora gives you an error, check all the steps above before emailing: dbarnes@tapple.org or bob@tapple.org
