the T.Apple Business Meeting
January 11, 2001
The meeting was
called to order at 7 PM by President Gary Kissinger. A quorum of members
was noted to be present.
In the absence of
the Secretary the President read the minutes of the annual business
meeting of the Tallahassee Apple Users Group, Inc. held December 14,
2000. With minor typographical corrections the minutes were approved.
The Treasurer gave
a report reflecting income, expenditures and financial balance for the
period 12/14/00 to 01/10/01. The report was approved and accepted by
a voice vote.
The newly appointed
members of the T.Apple Board were announced. C. B. Subrahmanyam will
be the new Mac SIG Leader. Bob O'Lary the Internet SIG Leader, Craig
Zody the System Administrator, and Ann Megargee a Director at Large.
The President led
a discussion regarding the purchase and resale of Zip disks. A motion
was made, seconded and passed that the Treasurer would no longer purchase
Zip disks in bulk for resale to T.Apple members and that any Zip disks
in the remaining inventory would be sold at a price of $10 each until
the supply is depleted.
The Meeting was
adjourned.
A presentation was
made by Frank Lanzillo, topic the use of Iomega Tools Back Up and Restore
features.
A demonstration
of MicroSoft's PowerPoint application was given by Dr. Dick Mariscal.
A short discussion
of hard disk back up strategies was led by Gene Williams.
