of the T.Apple Business Meeting
February 8, 2001

The meeting was called to order by Vice President Bob Yates at 7:00 pm.

Visitors were asked to stand and introduce themselves. After they did so they were welcomed to the meeting.

The secretary, Linnie Osborn, read the minutes of the last business meeting. A motion was made and seconded to pass them and after a voice vote they were adopted as read.

The treasurers report was given by Chris Gundersen. $348 was taken in from dues and Zip disk sales. Expenditures for refreshments and meeting notices totaled $135. Our overall cash inflow from January 11 through February 7, 2001 was $213.

A comment was made on the efficiency of reporting our annual financial statement to members on the back of the monthly meeting reminder postcards. Chris was complimented on having devised this method of getting the information disseminated. He informed the group that a long version of the annual report was available for any member to consult and that it was available either from him or the secretary.

Bob’s five minutes were devoted to bringing us up to date on the group effort of volunteer t-apple members setting up the School of Journalism labs with iMacs and G-4’s on the FAMU campus the previous Saturday.

Gene’s Nitty Gritty was a continuation of his instruction in Periodic Maintenance for your computer . He walked us through the procedures printed in his online advisory for Mac owners.

The meeting was adjourned.

We had as a guest speaker Gary Connors, Computer Technician at FSU’s Institute of Molecular Biology. He demonstrated and gave us information about Macintosh’s OS X operating system.

Respectfully submitted,
Linnie Osborn, Secretary
