of the T.Apple Business Meeting
May 10, 2001

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the secretary, Linnie Osborn, who was officiating in the absence of the president and the vice president.

The first order of business was to call for any changes or corrections to the minutes from April 12, 2001 as they appeared on the list serve and on the printed copy placed by the board where members pick up their name tags. Chris Gundersen wanted it known for the record that he indeed was present at that meeting, even though the minutes said he wasn’t. His correction was duly noted and the minutes, so amended, were voted on and passed.

Under old business, members were reminded that if they want to use either of the two CD burners that the club owns they need to contact Dave Fountain at 894-5311 (home) or 414-7421 (work). He reported that they have been getting used. If they aren’t available immediately, you can reserve a date by leaving your name and phone number(s) with Dave.

The community outreach project involving the donation of a computer to Heritage Oaks is temporarily on hold. Gene Williams did some research on getting free internet service to help get the residents connected online. When he returns from vacation in Ireland, we’ll find out how his efforts have turned out

Under new business it was noted that as of tonight we have brand new name tags for which our Sytems Administrator, Craig Zody was duly thanked. He asked that members who still don’t have a tag or who need one corrected please get the information directly to him.

Chris Gundersen, Treasurer, showed us new business cards that the board had printed for the club. These were passed around in order for members to take some home with them. Others will be placed at CompUSA and other places where we might attract new members.

Members were reminded before Mona's program on web page design, that if you want an account on the T-apple server contact Craig (craig@bitbrothers.com) or Mona (monalisa@tapple.org).

The meeting was adjourned.

Our evening’s program on constructing a web site was conducted by our own club member and past president, Mona Lisa Abbott. Several members stayed well past 9:00 and left with the beginnings of their first web sites already up and running on the internet. These happy campers suggested a follow up session in the near future.

Respectfully submitted,
Linnie Osborn, Secretary
